NEXT EVENT
This will be the referendum on which all members of the community will be able to vote on the Final agreed draft of the plan. We anticipate the this will take place in late 2016 A FESTIVAL OF EVENTS
CELEBRATING OUR NEIGHBOURHOOD 20th June to 5th July 2015 In every respect the festival was successful in bringing residents, and their families and friends along to participate in the events, and to raise awareness of the Neighbourhood Plan Consultation period. Every event was well attended, apart from the bowling evening and the archery evening. But those who attended enjoyed a warm welcome from the club members. We were so fortunate with the weather. Only one event had to be cancelled due to rain. The Neighbourhood Plan display boards were manned by members of the Steering group at the following events :- 20th and 21st June at the Flower Festival in Cuckney Church 24th June at Welbeck Club 25th June at Cuckney village hall – race night 27th June at Cuckney Cricket Club 29th June at Cuckney village Hall at the History tea party 4th and 5th July at St Winifred’s church Holbeck Virtually every club and society in the villages put on an event during the two weeks, and individual residents also hosted events. It would be very difficult to pick out which was the most successful event. However, the interest in the festival gathered momentum as the days went on and the final party had 105 people attending. We were also fortunate to receive donations and gifts in kind to help with the organization of the festival. I am very grateful to everyone who took part in making the festival so enjoyable and worthwhile. ------------------------------------------------------------------ |
